Abstract:
(EN) The instant invention relates to a composition useful as a precursor for imparting flame-retardant properties to textile articles, comprising a condensate of : (a) a tetrakis (hydroxyorgano) phosphonium sulfate THPS; (b) urea, or alternatively thiourea; (c) optionally, and preferably, an aliphatic hydroxyl-reactive compound, such an amine wherein said composition has a very low free formaldehyde content, namely of less than 0,1 %.
(FR) La présente invention concerne une composition utile en tant que précurseur pour conférer des propriétés ignifuges à des articles textiles, comprenant un condensat : (a) d'un sulfate de tétrakis (hydroxyorgano) phosphonium THPS ; (b) d'urée, ou en variante de thio-urée ; c) éventuellement, et de préférence, d'un composé aliphatique réactif à l'hydroxyle, tel qu'une amine, ladite composition présentant une très faible teneur en formaldéhyde libre, à savoir inférieure à 0,1 %.
