Abstract:
(EN) A steering wheel comprising a steering wheel body (10) having a or being connected to a first force transmitting component, and a horn actuation element mounted to said steering wheel body and having a horn actuation surface and having or being connected to a second force transmitting component is described. A load cell (30) comprising a sensitive element that changes at least one of its electrical properties when a compression force is applied to it is placed between the first force transmitting component and the second force transmitting component. Further, a spring (40) acting between the steering wheel body (10) and the horn actuation element is provided. So, the mechanical force applied to the sensitive element changes, when a pushing force is applied to the horn actuation surface. In order to limit the force that can be applied to the load cell, a compression force is applied to the sensitive element by the first and second force transmitting components because of a preload of the spring (40) when the steering wheel is in its resting state, and the compression force applied to the sensitive element is reduced when a pushing force is applied to the horn actuation surface (Figure 12).
(FR) L'invention concerne un volant comprenant un corps de volant (10) ayant ou étant relié à un premier élément de transmission de force, et un élément d'actionnement d'avertisseur monté sur ledit corps de volant et ayant une surface d'actionnement d'avertisseur et ayant ou étant relié à un second élément de transmission de force. Une cellule de mesure (30), comportant un élément sensible qui modifie au moins une de ses propriétés électriques lorsqu'une force de compression est appliquée sur ce dernier, est placée entre le premier élément de transmission de force et le second élément de transmission de force. En outre, un ressort (40) agissant entre le corps de volant (10) et l'élément d'actionnement d'avertisseur est fourni. Ainsi, la force mécanique appliquée sur l'élément sensible change lorsqu'une force de poussée est appliquée sur la surface d'actionnement d'avertisseur. Afin de limiter la force qui peut être appliquée sur la cellule de mesure, une force de compression est appliquée sur l'élément sensible par les premier et second éléments de transmission de force en raison d'une précontrainte du ressort (40) lorsque le volant est dans son état de repos, et la force de compression appliquée sur l'élément sensible est réduite lorsqu'une force de poussée est appliquée sur la surface d'actionnement d'avertisseur (Figure 12).
