Abstract:
(EN) The apparatus is adapted to detect a tool based on a 3D image obtained by a 3D ultrasound imaging system. The apparatus comprises an image processing unit, which includes a tool detection module configured to perform a tool detection procedure. The tool detection procedure involves identifying a shadow of the tool in the 3D image and calculating the position of a "tool plane section" of the 3D image in which the entire length of the tool is represented.
(FR) L'appareil est conçu pour détecter un outil sur la base d'une image tridimensionnelle obtenue par un système d'imagerie tridimensionnelle ultrasonore. L'appareil comprend une unité de traitement d'image, qui comprend un module de détection d'outil configuré pour réaliser une procédure de détection d'outil. La procédure de détection d'outil consiste à identifier une ombre de l'outil dans l'image tridimensionnelle et à calculer la position d'une "section de plan d'outil" de l'image tridimensionnelle dans laquelle la longueur totale de l'outil est représentée.
