Abstract:
(EN) An ultrasound device including an asynchronous successive approximation analog-to- digital converter and method are provided. The device includes at least one ultrasonic transducer, a plurality of asynchronous successive-approximation-register (SAR) analog-to- digital converters (ADC) coupled to the at least one ultrasonic transducer, at least one asynchronous SAR in the plurality having a sample and hold stage, a digital-to-analog converter (DAC), a comparator, and control circuitry, wherein a DAC update event following at least one bit conversion is synchronized to a corresponding DAC update event of at least one other ADC in the plurality of ADCs.
(FR) L'invention concerne un dispositif à ultrasons comprenant un convertisseur analogique/numérique à approximations successives asynchrone et un procédé associé. Le dispositif comprend au moins un transducteur ultrasonique, une pluralité de convertisseurs analogique-numérique (CAN) à registre à approximations successives asynchrone (SAR) connecté à l'au moins un transducteur ultrasonique, au moins un SAR asynchrone parmi la pluralité comportant un étage échantillonneur-bloqueur, un convertisseur numérique/analogique (CNA), un comparateur et un circuit de commande. Un événement de mise à jour de CNA qui suit au moins une conversion de bits est synchronisé à un événement de mise à jour de CNA correspondant d'au moins un autre CAN dans la pluralité de CAN.
