Abstract:
(EN) Systems and methods improve tracking performance of an ultra-wide-band (UWB) tracking tag positioned on a player on a sporting field. A UWB antenna is formed with power radiated disproportionately in forward and backward directions as compared to sideways. The UWB tracking tag is aligned with the UWB antenna when positioned on the player such that less power is absorbed by the player than radiated away from the player. The UWB antenna is monopole and may be folded from a single metal sheet forming: a flat top; a first side folded at an acute angle from one edge of the top; a second side folded at an acute angle from another edge of the top; a first solder tab folded at an obtuse angle from the first side; and a second solder tab folded at an obtuse angle from the second side, to join in parallel with the first solder tab.
(FR) La présente invention concerne des systèmes et des procédés permettant d'améliorer les performances de suivi d'une étiquette de suivi à bande ultralarge (ULB) positionnée sur un joueur sur un terrain de sport. Une antenne ULB présente une puissance émise de manière disproportionnée dans les directions vers l'avant et vers l'arrière par rapport aux directions latérales. L'étiquette de suivi ULB est alignée avec l'antenne ULB lorsqu'elle est positionnée sur le joueur de sorte que la puissance absorbée par le joueur est inférieure à celle qui est émise par le joueur. L'antenne ULB est monopôle et peut être pliée à partir d'une seule feuille métallique formant : une partie supérieure plate; un premier côté plié à un angle aigu à partir d'un bord de la partie supérieure; un second côté plié à un angle aigu à partir d'un autre bord de la partie supérieure; une première languette de soudure pliée à un angle obtus à partir du premier côté; et une seconde languette de soudure pliée à un angle obtus à partir du second côté, pour être reliée en parallèle à la première languette de soudure.
