Abstract:
(EN) The present invention relates to methods of using HEATR1 expression levels for guiding chemotherapy treatment of pancreatic cancer. In particular, measuring lower HEATR1 expression in pancreatic cancer is associated with resistance to the use of certain chemotherapy treatments such that by changing the treatment a better prognosis may be obtained for the patient. Further, lower HEATR1 expression is related to a poorer long-term prognosis of pancreatic cancer patients thus measuring an increase or maintenance/decrease during treatment may be useful for predicting treatment response.
(FR) La présente invention concerne des procédés d'utilisation de niveaux d'expression HEATR1 permettant le guidage du traitement chimiothérapique du cancer du pancréas. En particulier, la mesure de l'expression HEATR1 inférieure dans un cancer du pancréas est associée à une résistance à l'utilisation de certains traitements chimiothérapeutiques de sorte qu'un changement de traitement puisse permettre d'obtenir un meilleur pronostic pour le patient. En outre, l'expression HEATR1 inférieure est liée à un pronostic à long terme plus sombre chez des patients atteints de cancer du pancréas, ainsi la mesure d'une augmentation ou d'un maintien/d'une diminution pendant traitement peut être utile pour prédire la réponse à un traitement.
