Abstract:
(EN) [Problem] To provide: a thin retardation film having an excellent light leakage suppression effect; a method for producing the retardation film; a thin polarizing plate having an excellent light leakage suppression effect; and a liquid crystal display. [Solution] A retardation film (1A) is provided with a liquid crystal layer (10) in which a discotic liquid crystal compound is fixed in a state of homeotropic orientation. The in-plane retardation Re of the liquid crystal layer (10) satisfies 200 nm ≤ Re ≤ 300 nm, and the retardation Rth in the thickness direction satisfies -30 nm ≤ Rth.
(FR) Le problème à résoudre dans le cadre de la présente invention est de proposer un film à retard mince qui présente un excellent effet de suppression de fuites de lumière; un procédé pour produire le film à retard; une plaque polarisante mince qui présente un excellent effet de suppression de fuites de lumière; et un écran d'affichage à cristaux liquides. La solution proposée consiste en un film à retard (1A) qui est pourvu d'une couche de cristaux liquides (10) dans laquelle un composé à cristaux liquides discotiques est fixé dans un état d'orientation homéotrope. Le retard en plan Re de la couche de cristaux liquides (10) satisfait à 200 nm ≤ Re ≤ 300 nm et le retard Rth dans le sens de l'épaisseur satisfait à -30 nm ≤ Rth.
(JA) 【課題】薄型且つ光漏れ抑制効果の優れた位相差フィルムおよびその製造方法、薄型且つ光漏れ抑制効果の優れた偏光板および液晶表示装置を提供すること。 【解決手段】位相差フィルム(1A)は、円盤状液晶化合物がホメオトロピック配向した状態で固定化されてなる液晶層(10)を備え、液晶層(10)の面内レターデーションReが200nm≦Re≦300nm、厚み方向のレターデーションRthが-30nm≦Rthを満足する。
