Abstract:
(EN) The transport authentication system and method includes an electronic vehicle identification device configured to connect to a vehicle that is registered for on-call or scheduled transportation use with a service provider organization ("SPO") to obtain vehicle identification information from the vehicle, such as by being connected to the OBD port of the vehicle. The obtained vehicle identification information is transmitted to a SPO for comparison with identification authentication information retained by the SPO. A notice may then be transmitted to a potential passenger or package owner to notify the individual that the vehicle is an authentic, authorized vehicle for transport service. Driver identification information may additionally be obtained for comparison to driver identification authentication information retained by the SPO. Notification may thus also be transmitted to the potential passenger or package owner that the driver is the authorized, registered driver.
(FR) L'invention concerne un système et un procédé d'authentification de transport, comprenant un dispositif d'identification de véhicule électronique, conçu pour se connecter à un véhicule qui est enregistré pour une utilisation en transport d'astreinte ou planifié avec une organisation de fournisseur de service (« SPO ») afin d'obtenir des informations d'identification de véhicule depuis le véhicule, comme en établissant une connexion au port OBD du véhicule. Les informations d'identification de véhicule obtenues sont transmises à une SPO pour comparaison à des informations d'authentification d'identification conservées par la SPO. Une notification peut ensuite être transmise à un passager ou à un propriétaire de colis potentiel afin de notifier l'individu que le véhicule est un véhicule authentique et autorisé pour le service de transport. Des informations d'identification de conducteur peuvent en outre être obtenues pour comparaison à des informations d'authentification d'identification de conducteur conservées par la SPO.
