Abstract:
(EN) A method (200) for measuring a patient's expired CO2 level in a non-invasive ventilator system (100) while maintaining a positive inspiratory pressure. The method includes the steps of: receiving (220), by the non-invasive ventilator system,a signal comprising an instruction to obtain a CO2 measurement from a patient; lowering (230), by the non-invasive ventilator system in response to the signal, the expiratory positive airway pressure from a first, higher level to a second, lower level for a first time period comprising one or more breaths; obtaining (240), by a CO2 sensor (160), a CO2 measurement during the first time period; and returning (250), after the first time period, the expiratory positive airway pressure to the first, higher level.
(FR) La présente invention concerne un procédé (200) de mesure du niveau de CO2 expiré par un patient dans un système de ventilation non invasif (100) tout en maintenant une pression inspiratoire positive. Le procédé comprend les étapes consistant : à recevoir (220), par le système de ventilation non invasif, un signal comprenant une instruction pour obtenir une mesure du CO2 d'un patient ; à abaisser (230) par le système de ventilation non invasif en réponse au signal, la pression expiratoire positive d'un premier, niveau supérieur à un second niveau, inférieur pendant une première période de temps comprenant une ou plusieurs respirations ; à obtenir (240), par un capteur de CO2 (160), une mesure de CO2 pendant la première période ; et à ramener (250), après la première période de temps, la pression expiratoire positive au premier niveau, supérieur.
