Abstract:
(EN) The invention relates to method and technical equipment for encoding and decoding. A first scalability layer comprises at least a first coded picture. The first coded picture is reconstructed into a first reconstructed picture. A second coded picture is encoded on a second scalability layer, wherein said encoding comprises: reconstructing a second reconstructed picture by resampling at least a part of the first reconstructed picture;indicating that one of the following is used as a reference for the second coded picture: the first coded picture or the first reconstructed picture; and that no prediction error is present in the second coded picture. Third coded picture is encoded on a third scalability layer, the third scalability layer representing a different view or view direction than the first scalability layer, by using the second reconstructed picture as a reference forinter-view sample prediction or inter-view motion prediction for the third coded picture.
(FR) L'invention concerne un procédé et un équipement technique de codage et de décodage. Une première couche d'extensibilité comprend au moins une première image codée. La première image codée est reconstruite en une première image reconstruite. Une deuxième image codée est codée sur une deuxième couche d'extensibilité, ledit codage comprenant : reconstruction d'une deuxième image reconstruite par rééchantillonnage d'au moins une partie de la première image reconstruite; indication que l'un des éléments suivants est utilisé comme référence pour la deuxième image codée : la première image codée ou la première image reconstruite; et qu'aucune erreur de prédiction n'est présente dans la deuxième image codée. Une troisième image codée est codée sur une troisième couche d'extensibilité, la troisième couche d'extensibilité représentant une vue ou une direction d'observation différente de la première couche d'extensibilité, en utilisant la deuxième image reconstruite comme référence pour la prédiction d'échantillons entre les vues ou la prédiction de mouvement entre les vues pour la troisième image codée.
