Abstract:
(EN) A cartilage repair technique employs a cutter-tissue trap combination device to harvest cartilage tissue from a low-weight-bearing site of a subject. Cut tissue is aspirated though a lumen (1101) of a tissue cutter (1100). The lumen includes an outer shaft (1106) having a first distal window and an inner shaft having a second distal window. Edges of the first distal window and the second distal window cooperate to provide a cutting action there-between upon rotation of the inner shaft within the outer shaft. A tissue trap (1400) coupled to the tissue cutter is configured to collect tissue shavings of a desired size to efficiently deliver the collected shavings to a repair site during surgery. The tissue trap includes a filter (1502) in a housing configured between a removable inflow chamber (1404) and a removable outflow chamber (1406).
(FR) La présente invention concerne une technique de réparation de cartilage utilisant un dispositif combiné scalpel-piège à tissu pour recueillir du tissu cartilagineux d’un site portant un faible poids d’un sujet. Le tissu coupé est aspiré à travers une lumière (1101) d’un scalpel de tissu (1100). La lumière comprend une tige externe (1106) présentant une première fenêtre distale et une tige interne présentant une seconde fenêtre distale. Les bords de la première fenêtre distale et de la seconde fenêtre distale coopèrent pour fournir une action de découpe entre elles à l’issue de la rotation de la tige interne à l’intérieur de la tige externe. Un piège à tissu (1400) accouplé au scalpel de tissu est conçu pour recueillir les découpes de tissu d’une taille souhaitée pour administrer de manière efficace les découpes recueillies au niveau d’un site de réparation durant la chirurgie. Le piège à tissu inclut un filtre (1502) dans un logement conçu entre une chambre d’entrée amovible (1404) et une chambre de sortie amovible (1406).
