Abstract:
(EN) Methods and devices are provided for preventing binding between components of a drive assembly of a surgical device. In an exemplary embodiment, a surgical device is provided having a ball-and-socket joint that allows bending of various drive shafts relative to the handle without causing movement of a drive rack disposed within the handle. Since the drive rack does not move in response to bending of the shaft, the drive gear and rack will remain aligned thus preventing jamming of the device.
(FR) L'invention concerne des procédés et des dispositifs pour empêcher une liaison entre des éléments d'un ensemble d'entraînement d'un dispositif chirurgical. Dans un mode de réalisation donné à titre d'exemple, un dispositif chirurgical comporte un joint à rotule qui permet la courbure de divers arbres d'entraînement par rapport à la poignée sans entraîner le mouvement d'une crémaillère d'entraînement disposée dans la poignée. Étant donné que la crémaillère d'entraînement ne se déplace pas en réponse à la courbure de l'arbre, l'engrenage et la crémaillère d'entraînement resteront alignés, évitant ainsi le coincement du dispositif.
