Abstract
(EN) Provided are systems and methods for used fixed-point instead of floating point techniques in order to calculate various parameters for coding video data, including target rate, QP adjustment, buffer fullness, a Lagrangian parameters for a bitrate, and/or a Lagrangian parameter for the fullness of the buffer. By determining one or more of the parameters using fixed-point, hardware implementation costs may be decreased.
(FR) L'invention concerne des systèmes et des procédés pour une utilisation des techniques à virgule fixe au lieu de virgule flottante pour calculer divers paramètres de codage de données vidéo, y compris le débit cible, le réglage de QP, le niveau de remplissage du tampon, des paramètres de Lagrange pour un débit binaire et/ou un paramètre de Lagrange pour le niveau de remplissage du tampon. La détermination d'un ou plusieurs paramètres en utilisant la virgule fixe permet de réduire les coûts de mise en œuvre du matériel.
