Abstract

The invention relates to a method and device for estimating the transit time (PTT) of the arterial pulse in different arterial sections from measurements carried out using sensors disposed only in distal zones of the two upper extremities or at the two lower extremities. Firstly, the arrival of the pulse wave at a zone of the extremities next to the torso is detected in the impedance plethysmography (IPG) measured between the two upper extremities or between the two lower extremities, which reflects changes in zones closest to the zone where the measuring electrodes are disposed. Secondly, another time reference is obtained from a pulse signal measured in a distal zone using traditional methods. When the first pulse signal is the IPG between the two upper extremities, the second pulse signal can be the IPG between the two lower extremities. The PTT is estimated from the time interval measured between the respective instances of arrival of the pulse wave in the first and in the second signal.

Se propone un método y aparato para estimar el tiempo de tránsito del pulso (PTT) arterial en distintos tramos arteriales a partir de medidas realizadas con sensores dispuestos únicamente en zonas distales de las dos extremidades superiores o las dos extremidades inferiores. Primero, se detecta la llegada de la onda de pulso a una zona de las extremidades proximal al torso en el pletismograma de impedancia (IPG) medido entre las dos extremidades superiores o entre las dos extremidades inferiores, que refleja cambios en zonas más proximales respecto a la zona donde se disponen los electrodos de medida. Segundo, se obtiene otra referencia temporal a partir de una señal de pulso medida en una zona distal con métodos tradicionales. Cuando la primera señal de pulso sea el IPG entre las dos extremidades superiores, la segunda señal de pulso puede ser el IPG entre las dos extremidades inferiores. El PTT se estima a partir del intervalo de tiempo medido entre los instantes respectivos de llegada de la onda de pulso en la primera y en la segunda señal.

L'invention concerne un procédé et un appareil pour estimer le temps de transit du pouls (TTP) artériel dans différents segments artériels à partir de mesures réalisées au moyen de capteurs disposés uniquement dans des zones distales des deux membres supérieurs ou des deux membres inférieurs. On détecte d'abord l'arrivée de l'onde de pouls dans une zone des membres proximale par rapport au torse dans le pléthysmogramme d'impédance (IPG) mesuré entre les deux membres supérieurs ou entre les deux membres inférieurs, qui reflète les changements dans des zones situées du côté proximal de la zone où sont placées les électrodes de mesure, En second lieu, on obtient une autre référence temporelle à partir d'un signal de pouls mesuré dans une zone distale au moyen de méthodes traditionnelles. Lorsque le premier signal de pouls est l'IPG entre les deux membres supérieurs, le second signal de pouls peut être l'IPG entre les deux membres inférieurs.
