Title: PUMPED-STORAGE HYDROELECTRIC SYSTEM FOR CONTROLLING LOAD OF WATER LIFT PUMP
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a pumped-storage hydroelectric system for controlling the load of a water lift pump, the system comprising: a water storage tank having an inlet and an outlet and storing fluid; a circulation passage connected to the inlet and the outlet so as to form a closed loop; a turbine for generating electric energy by using the potential energy of the fluid having fallen through the circulation passage; and the water lift pump for drawing the fluid flowing through the circulation passage, wherein the water lift pump receives a part of the electric energy having been generated by the turbine, and the load control thereof is enabled. Therefore, the turbine generates the electric energy by using the potential energy of the fluid, and the energy, which remains in the fluid discharged after rotating the turbine, is used as the input head of the water lift pump so as to increase the efficiency of the water lift pump. In addition, the water storage tank for storing the fluid is provided in the air up till a required height such that the degree of freedom of an installation place is high.
