Abstract:
The projection material for mechanical plating pertaining to the present invention is characterized by using steel particles as nuclei coated on the periphery thereof by a zinc alloy comprising 5% by mass to more than 16% by mass of Al and 5.5% by mass to 15% by mass of Mg, the remainder comprising Zn and impurities, the Fe content thereof being 3% by mass to 80% by mass. Through this configuration, the corrosion resistance of a zinc-based coating film formed in mechanical plating is markedly enhanced without relying on a protective coating formation treatment such as chromate treatment.
