Abstract:
The invention relates to a method for operating a manipulator system (1), which can comprise, in particular, a driverless transport system. A protection zone of the manipulator system (1) is monitored by means of a monitoring device (2). According to the method, a system position and/or system orientation of the manipulator system is determined, and environmental information (3) concerning an environment of the manipulator system is provided. Furthermore, a first (4) and a second (5) protection zone are formed on the basis of the environmental information (3) and the determined system position and/or system orientation. The determined system position and/or system orientation (6) of the manipulator system (1) is verified on the basis of at least one breach datum for the first (4) and the second (5) protection zones.
