(EN) A blood pressure monitoring system is provided comprising: an impedance monitoring circuit configured to detect an occurrence of a blood pulse wave ejection from the heart; a blood pulse detection circuit detect to an arrival of the blood pulse wave at a body site peripheral to the heart; and a processor configured to compute pulse transit time (PTT) based at least in part upon a difference in a time of occurrence of the blood pulse wave ejection from the heart first signal and a time of occurrence of the arrival of the blood pulse wave at a body site peripheral to the heart.
(FR) La présente invention concerne un système de surveillance de pression artérielle comprenant : un circuit de surveillance d'impédance configuré pour détecter une occurrence d'une éjection d'onde de pouls sanguin depuis le cœur; un circuit de détection de pouls sanguin détectant une arrivée de l'onde de pouls sanguin à un site corporel périphérique par rapport au cœur; et un processeur configuré pour calculer un temps de transit de pouls (PTT) sur la base, au moins en partie, d'une différence de temps d'occurrence de l'éjection d'onde de pouls sanguin depuis le premier signal cardiaque et un temps d'occurrence de l'arrivée de l'onde de pouls sanguin à un site corporel périphérique au cœur.
