Title: PREPARATION METHOD FOR COLD-WORKED SEAMLESS ALUMINUM ALLOY HUB
Abstract:
A preparation method for a cold-worked seamless aluminum alloy hub comprises: adopting aluminum alloy extruded tubes of which the diameter is the same as that of a rim, the axial length is 60%-80% of the axial length of the rim, and the volume is greater than the volume of the rim, and rotationally pressing, thereby extending the axial length thereof and lessening the volume thereof, and acquiring the rim; stamping and preparing a spoke by adopting an aluminum alloy panel; and welding the rim and the spoke into a whole by adopting friction stir welding. The method adopts aluminum alloy extruded tubes which are equal in diameter, short and large in volume for manufacturing a rim, on one hand, the extruded tubes are uniform in texture, the inner stress is very small, and the manufactured rim has no cask effect, thereby optimizing the weight of the rim and the cost of raw materials; and on the other hand, the strength of an extruded product is close to forging, the cost is also low, the volume of the extruded tubes can also be lessened while the axial length thereof is extended by rotationally pressing the extruded tubes, namely, being more compact, thereby further increasing the strength, and aiding in further reducing the weight of the rim and the cost of raw materials.
