Title: METHOD FOR MEASURING DISTRIBUTION OF BINDER IN ELECTRODE
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method for measuring the distribution of a binder in an electrode and, specifically, provides a method for measuring the distribution of a binder in an electrode, comprising the steps of: (step 1) measuring the thickness of an electrode having an active material layer, which comprises an active material, a conductive material and a binder and is formed on a current collector; (step 2) carrying out fixing such that the active material layer of the electrode comes into contact with a substrate; (step 3) attaching a tape, to be removed, to the current collector of the electrode, and then measuring adhesive strength and the electrode thickness after removal while removing the tape, to be removed, and the current collector together; (step 4) attaching a tape, to be removed, onto the active material layer from which the current collector is removed, and then measuring adhesive strength and electrode thickness after removal while removing the tape, to be removed, and a part of the active material layer together, and repeating the same to the measurement limit; and (step 5) confirming the distribution of the binder according to the electrode thickness through the measurement values measured in steps 3 and 4. According to the present invention, the method for measuring the distribution of a binder in an electrode repeats, from the current collector to the end of the active material, a process for attaching a tape, to be removed, to the current collector and the active material layer, and then removing the tape, thereby enabling the distribution of a binder to be more accurately measured by using a method for measuring adhesive strength for each electrode thickness, and having an advantage of enabling measurement at low cost within a short time.
