Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to shorten the manufacturing time for a power storage element by causing an electrolyte to efficiently penetrate into a positive electrode mix layer, in an electrolyte injection step. Provided is a power storage element in which: a negative electrode and a positive electrode are stacked with a separator therebetween, the negative electrode including on a negative electrode current-collector foil a negative electrode mix layer and a negative electrode mix layer non-forming section which is along one side of the negative electrode current-collector foil, the positive electrode including on a positive electrode current-collector foil a positive electrode mix layer and a positive electrode mix layer non-forming section which is along one side of the positive electrode current-collector foil, and the separator including an insulation layer on the surface of the separator facing the positive electrode; the negative electrode mix layer non-forming section and the positive electrode mix layer non-forming section are disposed so as to be facing mutually opposite directions; and part of the negative electrode mix layer non-forming section is connected to a negative electrode current-collector, and part of the positive electrode mix layer non-forming section is connected to a positive electrode current-collector. The manufacturing time for the power storage element can be shortened as a result of the following: an end S1 of the separator on the negative electrode current-collector side protrudes out more than an end P1 of the positive electrode mix layer on the negative electrode current-collector side; an end S2 of the separator on the positive electrode current-collector side protrudes out more than an end P2 of the positive electrode mix layer on the positive electrode current-collector side; and the distance W2 from the end P2 of the positive electrode mix layer to the end S2 of the separator is smaller than the distance W1 from the end P1 of the positive mix layer to the end S1 of the separator.
