A magnetic field sensor and an associated method use one or more magnetoresistance elements ( 1302, 1304, 1306, 1308) driven with an AC mixing current (1312, 1316) and experiencing an AC mixing magnetic field which have AC components of the same frequency (fmod), such as to generate a DC voltage signal (1334a, 1334b) or a DC voltage signal component related to a slope of a transfer curve of the one or more magnetoresistance elements, wherein the mixing takes place in the magnetoresistance element(s) and results in changes of the value of the DC component in response to changes of the sensed external magnetic field.

La présente invention porte sur un capteur de champ magnétique et sur un procédé associé qui utilisent un ou plusieurs éléments à magnétorésistance (1302, 1304, 1306, 1308) entraînés avec un courant de mélange en courant alternatif (CA) (1312, 1316) et subissant un champ magnétique de mélange en courant alternatif qui comportent des composantes de courant alternatif de la même fréquence (fmod), de sorte à générer un signal de tension en courant continu (CC) (1334a, 1334b) ou une composante de signal de tension en courant continu associée à une pente d'une courbe de transfert du ou des éléments à magnétorésistance, le mélange ayant lieu dans le ou les éléments à magnétorésistance et donnant lieu à des changements de la valeur de la composante de courant continu à la suite de changements du champ magnétique externe détecté.
