Abstract:
A crystal part according to the present invention in which the long side of a principal surface thereof is substantially parallel to the Z' axis of the crystal part, the short side of the principal surface thereof is substantially parallel to the X axis thereof, and the frequency of the principal oscillation of the crystal part is 30.5-37.0 MHz, inclusive, the crystal part being characterized: by having a first region comprising the center of the principal surface, a second and a third region which are adjacent to the first region on both sides in the long-side direction in which the long side extends, and a fourth and a fifth region which are adjacent to the first region on both sides in the short-side direction in which the short side extends; in that the thickness of the first region is substantially uniform, the thickness of the second and third regions is less than the thickness of the first region, and/or the thickness of the fourth and fifth regions is less than the thickness of the first region; and in that given that the length of the short side is W and the thickness thereof is T, then 16.21≤W/T≤17.71.
