The invention relates to a satellite (1) comprising a cylindrical main body (2), the main body (2) having an inner wall (3) defining an inner space (9) and an outer wall (4), and extending along a main axis (A) between a lower end surface (5) and an upper end surface (6), at least one of the lower end surface (5) and the upper end surface (6) comprising an interface mechanism (7, 8) intended for engaging with a complementary interface mechanism (7, 8) of another satellite or of a launcher, the satellite (1) also comprising at least one external device (15) attached to the outer wall (4) of the main body, the outer device (15) extending to project transversely from the outer wall (4) relative to the main axis (A).
