Abstract:
(EN) The invention relates to a method for determining the aerodynamic drag surface (Cx.S) and/or the coefficient of rolling (Cr) of a vehicle; said method been remarkable in that it comprises the following steps: a) measuring the speed of the vehicle during two first journeys, i.e. the two legs of a round trip, on a route, under first speed conditions, without voluntary braking; b) measuring the speed of the vehicle during two second journeys, i.e. the two legs of a round trip, on said route, under second speed conditions, without voluntary braking; c) determining the aerodynamic drag surface (Cx.S), the coefficient of rolling (Cr) and the wind speed (vvent), from three equations derived from the principle of conservation of energy and meeting the three following constraints: i. the sum of the changes in height of the route, established for the two first journeys from the measurements of step a), equals zero; ii. the sum of the changes in height of the route, established for the second journeys from the measurements of step b), equals zero; iii. the changes in height of the route, established for one of the first journeys, i.e. one of the legs of the round trip, and for one of the second journeys, i.e. one of the legs of the round trip, are equal.
(FR) L'invention concerne une méthode de détermination de la surface de traînée aérodynamique (Cx.S) et/ou du coefficient de roulement (Cr) d'un véhicule; ladite méthode étant remarquable en ce qu'elle comprend les étapes suivantes: a) mesurer la vitesse du véhicule au cours de deux premiers déplacements, aller et retour, sur un trajet, dans des premières conditions de vitesse, sans freinage volontaire; b) mesurer la vitesse du véhicule au cours de deux seconds déplacements, aller et retour, sur ledit trajet, dans des secondes conditions de vitesse, sans freinage volontaire; c) déterminer la surface de trainée aérodynamique (Cx.S), le coefficient de roulement (Cr) et la vitesse de vent (vvent), à partir de trois équations dérivées du principe de conservation de l'énergie et répondant aux trois contraintes suivantes: i. La somme des dénivelés du trajet, établis pour les deux premiers déplacements à partir des mesures de l'étape a), s'annule; ii. La somme des dénivelés du trajet, établis pour les deux seconds déplacements à partir des mesures de l'étape b), s'annule; iii. Les dénivelés du trajet, établis pour un des premiers déplacements, aller ou retour, et pour l'un des seconds déplacements, respectivement aller ou retour, sont égaux.
