Abstract:
Disclosed are a frequency offset estimation method and apparatus. The method comprises: converting local pilot frequency data from a frequency domain into a time domain, and performing a correlation operation on pilot frequency data in the time domain obtained through pre-calculation and the local pilot frequency data, to obtain a phase sequence; according to a maximum timing advance (Ta) estimation value within a current timeslot, determining the number of sequence points where the phase of the phase sequence overturns, wherein the Ta estimation value comprises one of the following: a Ta estimation value obtained through pre-calculation and an effectively maintained history Ta estimation value; and performing reconstruction on the phase sequence according to the number of sequence points, and performing frequency offset estimation on the reconstructed phase sequence. According to the frequency offset estimation method and apparatus herein, frequency offset estimation can be realized effectively, thereby improving system performance, solving the problem of OFDM synchronization under an LTE system, particularly the problem that accurate frequency offset estimation cannot be performed on a single pilot symbol in the case of hopping and existence of a big time offset.
