Title: MANUFACTURING METHOD OF FILM INTEGRATING FUNCTION OF POLARIZATION AND ALIGNMENT, AND LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY PANEL
Abstract:
Provided are a manufacturing method of a film integrating functions of polarization and alignment, and liquid crystal display panel comprising the film integrating functions of polarization and alignment. The manufacturing method comprises: forming, on a substrate, a mixed-dye film containing a dichroic dye and an alignment material, and performing a polarization treatment on the mixed-dye film. The resulting film integrating functions of polarization and alignment manufactured by the manufacturing method has both a polarization property and an alignment function, and can replace a polarizer and an alignment film in the existing liquid crystal display panels when applied to a liquid crystal display panel, thereby reducing the number of optical members or films, eliminating a polarizer lamination process step, and significantly simplifying the manufacturing process to save manufacturing costs. In addition, the film integrating functions of polarization and alignment is particularly suitable for a liquid crystal display panel structure requiring a built-in polarizer.
