Abstract:
The invention relates to the technical field of wireless communications, and more particularly, to an access network equipment, a terminal device, and a data transmission method and system configured to solve a problem of limited transmission resources in wireless communication systems, such as a long term evolution (LTE) system. In an embodiment of the invention, an access network equipment of a second wireless communication system comprises: a processing unit configured to determine an idle transmission resource in a first wireless communication system as an available transmission resource, wherein the determined available transmission resource serves as a transmission resource in a secondary cell associated with a carrier aggregation configuration and used for data transmission by the access network equipment and a terminal device in the second wireless communication system; and a reception/transmission unit configured to perform data transmission with the terminal device on the transmission resource in the secondary cell associated with the carrier aggregation configuration and determined by the processing unit. The access network equipment and the terminal device of the second wireless communication system can use the transmission resource in the first wireless communication system to perform data transmission, thereby mitigating a problem of a limited transmission resource in the second wireless communication system.
