Abstract:
(EN) Systems and methods of reducing drag on outer surfaces of vehicles that are in contact with water using a polymer solution that reduces the drag on the outer surfaces of the vehicles as the vehicles travel through water. A polymer solution is passively ejected into the boundary layer of the water flowing past the outer surface of the vehicle. The polymer solution is mixed and introduced into the boundary layer passively with minimal or no usage of electrical energy. The passive mixing and ejection of the polymer solution minimizes energy consumption, thereby maximizing electrical energy consumption efficiency during operation of the vehicle.
(FR) La présente invention concerne des systèmes et des procédés permettant de réduire la traînée sur des surfaces externes de véhicules qui sont en contact avec l'eau à l'aide d'une solution polymère qui réduit la traînée sur les surfaces externes des véhicules à mesure que les véhicules se déplacent à travers l'eau. Une solution polymère est éjectée de manière passive dans la couche limite de l'eau qui s'écoule au-delà de la surface externe du véhicule. La solution polymère est mélangée et introduite dans la couche limite de manière passive avec peu ou pas d'utilisation d'énergie électrique. Le mélange et l'éjection passifs de la solution polymère réduisent au minimum la consommation d'énergie, ce qui permet de maximiser l'efficacité de la consommation d'énergie électrique pendant le fonctionnement du véhicule.
