Abstract:
(EN) The invention relates to the use of secoisolariciresinol diglucoside (SDG), other active components in flaxseed, and related compounds for treating proton radiation associated lung injury and protecting normal lung tissue against proton radiation exposure. The invention also relates to the use of SDG, other active components in flaxseed, and related compounds in down-regulating senescence markers, and thereby protecting from senescence associated or radiation induced aging phenotypes.
(FR) L'invention concerne l'utilisation d'un diglucoside de sécoïsolaricirésinol (SDG), d'autres constituants actifs dans les graines de lin, et des composés apparentés pour le traitement d'une lésion pulmonaire associée à un rayonnement de protons et la protection des tissus pulmonaires normaux contre une exposition à un rayonnement de protons. L'invention concerne également l'utilisation de SDG, d'autres constituants actifs dans les graines de lin, et de composés apparentés dans la régulation à la baisse de marqueurs de la sénescence, et donc dans la protection contre des phénotypes de vieillissement associés à une sénescence ou induits par un rayonnement.
