Abstract:
(EN) Methods, systems, and computer readable media can be operable to facilitate dynamic packet prioritization for delivery of content to multiple devices. Methods, systems, and computer readable media described herein are operable to prioritize packet delivery to a plurality of client devices based upon feedback received from the client devices, wherein the feedback includes buffer status information associated with the client devices. The rate of transmitting packets to a client device having a stressed buffer may be increased, while the rate of transmitting packets to one or more other client devices may be decreased. Buffer status information may be received periodically or conditionally at a central device in the form of feedback messages output from one or more client devices.
(FR) L'invention concerne des procédés, des systèmes, et des supports lisibles par ordinateur pouvant être exploités pour faciliter une hiérarchisation dynamique de paquets pour la distribution de contenu à des dispositifs multiples. Les procédés, systèmes et supports lisibles par ordinateur décrits ici sont exploitables pour hiérarchiser la distribution de paquets à une pluralité de dispositifs clients d'après une rétroaction reçue en provenance des dispositifs clients, la rétroaction comprenant des informations d'état de tampon associées aux dispositifs clients. Le débit d'émission de paquets vers un dispositif client dont un tampon est sous contrainte peut être augmenté, tandis que le débit d'émission de paquets vers un ou plusieurs autres dispositifs clients peut être diminué. Des informations d'état de tampon peuvent être reçues périodiquement ou conditionnellement au niveau d'un dispositif central sous la forme de messages de rétroaction délivrés à partir d'un ou plusieurs dispositifs clients.
