Abstract:
(EN) A fuel pump housing is provided comprising a first portion including a distal end and a proximal end, a second portion disposed adjacent the proximal end of the first portion, a first side wall including a mounting bore disposed at a first location defined by the proximal end and the second portion. The fuel pump housing further includes a second side wall including a fluid inlet port disposed at a second location defined by the proximal end and the second portion. The first location and the second location each include at least one ribbed member. The at least one ribbed member at the first location and the at least one ribbed member at the second member each provide load stress mitigation for the fuel pump housing and wherein the fuel pump housing is formed by a high pressure die casting process.
(FR) L'invention concerne un boîtier de pompe à carburant, lequel boîtier comprend une première partie comprenant une extrémité distale et une extrémité proximale, une seconde partie disposée de manière adjacente à l'extrémité proximale de la première partie, et une première paroi latérale comprenant un perçage de montage disposé en un premier emplacement défini par l'extrémité proximale et la seconde partie. Le boîtier de pompe à carburant comprend en outre une seconde paroi latérale comprenant un orifice d'entrée de fluide disposé en un second emplacement défini par l'extrémité proximale et la seconde partie. Le premier emplacement et le second emplacement comprennent chacun au moins un élément nervuré. Le ou les élément(s) nervuré(s) au premier emplacement et le ou les élément(s) nervuré(s) au niveau du second élément produisent chacun une atténuation de contraintes de charge pour le boîtier de pompe à carburant, et le boîtier de pompe à carburant est formé par un procédé de moulage à haute pression.
