Title: METHOD FOR PRODUCING FINE ZEOLITE
Abstract:
This method for producing a fine zeolite, comprises: a pulverization step for pulverizing raw material zeolite that has an average particle size of at least 0.5 µm and that is represented by general formula M2O·xSiO2·Al2O3 (in the formula, M represents an alkali metal, H+, or NH4+, and x is 2-6); and a recrystallization step for causing the pulverized zeolite to recrystallize in an alkaline solution at temperatures of 15-45°C so as to obtain a zeolite that has an average particle size of at most 0.3 µm, and in which the ratio (B/A) of a post-recrystallization crystallinity (B) with respect to a pre-recrystallization crystallinity (A) is 1.2 or higher. According to this method, it is possible to reduce the energy cost for heating required for the recrystallization as compared with conventional techniques, and also produce fine zeolite particles having favorable crystallinity similarly to conventional products but at a lower cost than conventional techniques.
