Abstract:
[Problem] To implement an autonomous moving body and a signal control system that enable travel while ensuring significantly higher safety than in the prior art. [Solution] An autonomous mobile robot enters a standby state just short of a pedestrian crosswalk, and then begins traveling in synchronization with the timing with which a pedestrian traffic signal changes from a red light to a green light, thus minimizing the possibility that the traffic light may change to a red light while the robot is crossing, and enabling the robot to cross with a sufficient allowance of time.
