Abstract:
Provided are: a glass-coated light-accumulating material which has excellent water resistance, while having excellent long-time luminescence properties and the like; and a method for efficiently producing this glass-coated light-accumulating material. A glass-coated light-accumulating material obtained by blending a metal aluminate salt, which serves as a light-accumulating material, into a glass component that is mainly composed of zinc phosphate glass and a method for producing this glass-coated light-accumulating material, wherein the zinc phosphate glass contains, as a main component, P2O5, ZnO and R2O (wherein R is Na or K) and the melting point of the zinc phosphate glass is set to a value within the range of 600-900°C.
