Title: POLYMERIZABLE LIQUID CRYSTAL COMPOSITION AND OPTICALLY ANISOTROPIC BODY USING SAME
Abstract:
Provided is a polymerizable cholesteric liquid crystal composition that provides good alignment properties and excellent heat resistance in a thin film such as an optically anisotropic body or a phase-difference film obtained by curing the polymerizable cholesteric liquid crystal composition. Also provided are an optically anisotropic body, a phase-difference film, a patterned phase-difference film, a luminance-enhancing film or the like, obtained by using the polymerizable liquid crystal composition, a laminate having a protective layer on the phase-difference film, and a display device comprising the optically anisotropic body, the phase-difference film, the patterned phase-difference film or the luminance-enhancing film. The present invention provides a polymerizable cholesteric liquid crystal composition comprising: one or more polymerizable liquid crystal compounds (I) having two or more polymerizable functional groups in the molecule; a chiral compound (III); a polymerization initiator (IV); optionally, a non-silicon-based compound (V) having repeating units; and optionally, one or more polymerizable liquid crystal compounds (II) having one polymerizable functional group. Additionally provided is an optically anisotropic body obtained by using the polymerizable liquid crystal composition of the present invention.
