Title: METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING NTC THERMISTOR
Abstract:
Provided is a method for manufacturing an NTC thermistor that includes a plating layer formed by plating external electrodes, in which variation of characteristics due to heating during mounting, and variation of characteristics after long-term use at high temperatures of, for example, 150°C or less, are suppressed. The method for manufacturing an NTC thermistor is configured so as to be provided with, in the stated order: a step for producing an unfired ceramic element that is provided with a ceramic element 1, and external electrodes 3, 4, the external electrodes 3, 4 including at least one plating layer 3c, 4c formed by plating; a step in which the unfired ceramic element is fired using a prescribed firing profile, and a ceramic element 1 is produced; a step in which plating is applied to the ceramic element 1, and a plating layer 3c, 4c is formed; and a step in which the ceramic element 1 is annealed in a low-oxygen atmosphere.
