Abstract:
(EN) Ultrasonic filament modeling systems and methods may be utilized to achieve room-temperature 3-D printing of solid (> 95%) metal materials. A vibrating tool is applied to a metal filament to form a voxel, inducing mechanical deformation as well as inter-and intra-layer mass transport. Desired structures may be built on a voxel-by-voxel basis. Additionally, by varying the applied ultrasonic energy, the microstructure of the resulting structure may be controlled.
(FR) La présente invention concerne des procédés et des systèmes de modélisation de filament par ultrasons qui peuvent être utilisés pour obtenir une impression 3-D à température ambiante d'un solide d'impression (> 95 %) de matériaux métalliques. Un outil vibrant est appliqué à un filament métallique pour former un voxel, induire une déformation mécanique aussi bien qu'un transport de masse intercouche et intracouche. Des structures souhaitées peuvent être construites sur une base voxel par voxel. En outre, en faisant varier l'énergie ultrasonore appliquée, la microstructure de la structure résultante peut être commandée.
