Abstract:
(EN) A method and system for identifying a rotational orientation of an electrical stimulation lead utilize radiological images of the lead. The lead has an asymmetric marker with a longitudinal band extending around a portion of the circumference of the lead. The method and system includes obtaining radiological images of the lead; generating an isosurface image from the radiological images and displaying the isosurface image on a display device, where the isosurface image comprises an image of the longitudinal band of the marker; identifying a bulge in the isosurface image corresponding the longitudinal band of the marker; and determining a rotational orientation of the lead based on the rotational orientation of the bulge in the isosurface image.
(FR) La présente invention concerne un procédé et un système pour identifier une orientation de rotation d'une dérivation de stimulation électrique à l'aide d'images radiologiques de la dérivation. La dérivation a un marqueur asymétrique comprenant une bande longitudinale s'étendant autour d'une partie de la circonférence de la dérivation. Le procédé et le système comprennent l'obtention d'images radiologiques de la dérivation ; la génération d'une image d'isosurface à partir des images radiologiques et l'affichage de l'image d'isosurface sur un dispositif d'affichage, l'image d'isosurface comprenant une image de la bande longitudinale du marqueur ; l'identification d'un renflement dans l'image d'isosurface correspondant à la bande longitudinale du marqueur ; et la détermination d'une orientation de rotation de la dérivation en se basant sur l'orientation de rotation du renflement dans l'image d'isosurface.
