Abstract:
(EN) A variable efficiency filter media. The variable efficiency filter media is a composite media formed of at least two different types of filter media, such as standard efficiency media and high efficiency media. The variable efficiency filter media has at least two different efficiency levels. The different efficiency levels can be spread across different zones. The filter media types for both the standard and high efficiency media can be spun media, melt blown media, nanofiber media, micro-glass media, cellulose media, carded staple fiber media, and the like. The variable efficiency filter media may be produced by any of an air laid or wet laid process.
(FR) L'invention concerne un milieu de filtre à efficacité variable. Le milieu de filtre à efficacité variable est un milieu composite constitué par au moins deux types différents de milieu de filtre, tels qu'un milieu à efficacité standard et un milieu à efficacité élevée. Le milieu de filtre à efficacité variable a au moins deux niveaux d'efficacité différents. Les niveaux d'efficacité différents peuvent être répartis sur des zones différentes. Les types de milieux de filtre aussi bien pour les milieux à efficacité standard qu'élevée peuvent être des milieux filés, des milieux fondus par soufflage, des milieux à nanofibres, des milieux à micro-verre, des milieux en cellulose, des milieux à fibres à agrafes cardées, et analogues. Le milieu de filtre à efficacité variable peut être produit par n'importe lequel d'un processus à déposition par air ou à déposition par voie humide.
