Abstract:
(EN) Disclosed is a method of reducing and/or regulating the level of hydrogen in a polymerization reactor comprising contacting a first feed comprising a first amount of hydrogen with a hydrogenation catalyst prior to entering a polymerization reactor to form a second feed; then contacting the second feed having a second amount of hydrogen with monomers and a polymerization catalyst in a polymerization reactor to form a polymer. The first and second feeds may reside in a feed line from one reactor to another, a monomer feed line to the reactor, or in a recycle line to and from the same reactor.
(FR) L'invention concerne un procédé de réduction et/ou de régulation du niveau d'hydrogène dans un réacteur de polymérisation comprenant la mise en contact d'une première charge d'alimentation comprenant une première quantité d'hydrogène avec un catalyseur d'hydrogénation avant d'entrer dans un réacteur de polymérisation pour former une seconde charge d'alimentation ; puis la mise en contact de la seconde charge d'alimentation ayant une seconde quantité d'hydrogène avec des monomères et un catalyseur de polymérisation dans un réacteur de polymérisation afin de former un polymère. Les première et seconde charges d'alimentation peuvent résider dans une ligne d'alimentation d'un réacteur à un autre, d'une ligne d'alimentation en monomères au réacteur, ou dans une ligne de recyclage en provenance et à destination du même réacteur.
