Abstract:
(EN) Wearable devices are provided including electrical contacts to detect voltages or other biosignals when mounted to the skin of a wearer. The impedance between a pair of the electrical contacts can be detected and the device operated based on the detected impedance. The device can detect an electrocardiogram or other biopotentials using the electrical contacts if the detected impedance falls below a specified threshold. The device could indicate that the detected impedance is below the specified threshold, e.g., such that a wearer could contact one of the electrical contacts with a finger to allow detection of an electrocardiogram between the arms of the wearer. The device could indicate that the detected impedance remains greater than the specified threshold, e.g., such that a wearer could re-mount the wearable device to improve the electrical connection between the electrical contacts and the wearer's skin.
(FR) La présente invention concerne des dispositifs portables comprenant des contacts électriques permettant de détecter des tensions ou d'autres biosignaux lorsqu'ils sont montés en contact avec la peau d'un porteur. L'impédance entre une paire des contacts électriques peut être détectée et le dispositif actionné sur la base de l'impédance détectée. Le dispositif peut détecter un électrocardiogramme ou d'autres biopotentiels à l'aide desdits contacts électriques si l'impédance détectée s'inscrit dans une plage inférieure à un seuil prédéfini. Le dispositif pourrait indiquer que l'impédance détectée est bien inférieure audit seuil prédéfini, par exemple, de sorte qu'un porteur puisse toucher l'un des contacts électriques avec un doigt pour permettre la détection d'un électrocardiogramme entre les bras dudit porteur.
