Abstract:
Provided are a liquid-discharging head, a liquid-discharging device and a flight direction control method that appropriately control the flight direction of discharged droplets using a simple structure. By allowing a first liquid in a first liquid chamber that is in communication with a nozzle, which is formed in a liquid-repellent nozzle plate, to overflow from the nozzle and allowing a second liquid, which is in a second liquid chamber that is in communication with a nozzle plate wettability-adjusting port that corresponds to the nozzle and which has at least one characteristic value, from among surface tension, viscosity, refractive index, extinction coefficient, and color tone, or process, from among curing and drying processes, that is the same as the first liquid, to overflow from the nozzle plate wettability-adjusting port, a droplet in which the first and second liquids coalesce is formed in a region of the nozzle plate comprising the nozzle and the wettability-adjusting port. The first liquid in the first liquid chamber is pressurized by a pressurizing means to discharge a droplet of the first liquid and the flight direction of the discharged droplet is deflected by the coalesced droplet.
