Title: HEAD-UP DISPLAY DEVICE, AND REFLECTIVE OPTICAL SYSTEM
Abstract:
This head-up display device is equipped with an illumination optical system (22), an image-forming optical system (10), and a reflective optical system (34). The illumination optical system (22) projects a light-source beam that represents information. The image-forming optical system (10) receives, on a projection reception plane thereof, the light-source beam projected from the illumination optical system (22). The reflective optical system (34) has a dielectric multilayer that transmits electromagnetic waves in the infrared spectrum but reflects electromagnetic waves in the visible light spectrum. The reflective optical system (34) is configured such that the phase difference between subject wavelengths, including at least a part of the wavelength of the light-source beam from the illumination optical system (22), falls within a range that is greater than -π/2 (rad) but smaller than π/2 (rad). The reflective optical system (34) is disposed on the light path of the light-source beam between the illumination optical system (22) and the image-forming optical system (10) in such a manner that the polarizing axis α of the light-source beam from the illumination optical system (34) is oriented with respect to an incidence plane so as to satisfy the relationship of 0°<α<90°<α<180°.
