Abstract:
(EN) The present invention addresses the problem of providing a liquid crystal display element that uses a p-type liquid crystal composition, that has excellent liquid crystal display element characteristics such as dielectric anisotropy (Δε), viscosity (η), nematic phase-isotropic liquid transfer temperature (TNI), nematic phase stability at low temperatures, and rotational viscosity (γ1), and that makes it possible to obtain excellent display characteristics as the result of the use of a horizontally aligned liquid crystal display element provided with a photoalignment film. Provided is a liquid crystal display element that has excellent stability at low temperatures and that maintains the high-speed response properties of the liquid crystal composition thereof as a result of containing one or more compounds represented by formula (P), one or more compounds represented by formula (ii), one or more compounds represented by formula (iii), and one or more compounds represented by formula (iv).
(FR) L'invention concerne un élément d'affichage à cristaux liquides présentant d'excellentes caractéristiques en termes: d'anisotropie de constante diélectrique (Δε), de viscosité (η), de température de transition phase nématique - liquide isotrope (TNI), de stabilité de la phase nématique à basse température, de viscosité rotationnelle (γ1) etc., lequel élément d'affichage, lorsqu'il est utilisé dans un composant d'affichage à cristaux liquides de type à alignement horizontal et présentant un film de photo-alignement, permet d'obtenir un élément d'affichage à cristaux liquides mettant en oeuvre une composition à cristaux liquides de type p avec des caractéristiques d'affichage excellentes. Plus spécifiquement, cet élément d'affichage à cristaux liquides contient: au moins une sorte ou au moins deux sortes d'un composé représenté par la formule générale (P); au moins une sorte ou au moins deux sortes d'un composé représenté par la formule générale (ii); au moins une sorte ou au moins deux sortes d'un composé représenté par la formule générale (iii); et au moins une sorte ou au moins deux sortes d'un composé représenté par la formule générale (iv), ce qui permet de maintenir une grande vitesse de réactivité de la composition à cristaux liquides et simultanément une excellente stabilité à basse température.
(JA) 本発明の課題は、誘電率異方性(Δε)、粘度(η)、ネマチック相-等方性液体の転移温度(TNI)、低温でのネマチック相安定性、回転粘度(γ1)等の液晶表示素子としての諸特性に優れ、光配向膜を備えた水平配向方式の液晶表示素子に用いることにより優れた表示特性を実現可能なp型液晶組成物を用いた液晶表示素子を提供することにある。 一般式(P)で表される化合物を1種又は2種以上含有し、一般式(ii)で表される化合物を1種又は2種以上、一般式(iii)で表される化合物を1種又は2種以上及び一般式(iv)で表される化合物を1種又は2種以上含有することで、当該液晶組成物の高速応答性を維持しつつ、低温安定性に優れた液晶表示素子を提供する。
