This robot system is provided with a manipulator device (2), a slave arm (1), an output device (3), a storage device (5) and a control device (4), wherein the control device (4) carries out: first operation processing in which, as a second step after completion of a first step, the control device (4) outputs to an output device (3) a query about which of three operation modes to operate the slave arm (1) in, an automatic operation mode, a manual operation mode, or a hybrid operation mode, and, when selection information indicating the operation mode selected from the three operation modes has been inputted, stores the selection information in the storage device (5); and second operation processing in which, if the number of times that first selection information has been stored in the storage device (5) is greater than or equal to a first threshold value, then, after completion of the first step, the control device (4) outputs the selected operation mode to the output device (3).
