Abstract:
Y-Fe ferromagnetic alloys, which are generated by splat quenching and in which a portion of the Fe element is not substituted with a structure-stabilizing element, have high magnetization but the magnitude of magnetic anisotropy is still too small for practical use. The present invention teaches that magnetically anisotropic magnetic fields can be increased by partial substitution of Gd in Y-Fe binary and Y-Fe-Co ternary main components, and that magnetically anisotropic magnetic fields are equal or are decreased by partial substitution of Gd in Y-Sm-Fe-Co quaternary main components.
