Abstract:
(EN) System for determining authenticity of an object in which a light-source directs collimated or telecentric light toward an authentication-region on the object, which impinges on the authentication-region at a predetermined angle relative to the normal of a plane defined by the object, a portion of the light is reflected from the authentication-region and another portion of the light is scattered from the authentication-region, an imager, focused on the authentication-region, acquires a focused-image of the scattered-light, the image includes image-features related to surface-features-scattering-phenomena of the authentication region, the processor determines correspondence between part of the acquired image and a corresponding part of a stored-image corresponding to the authentication-region, the processor identifies the object as authentic when the acquired-image corresponds to the stored image, the processor identifies the object as non-authentic when the acquired-image does not corresponds the stored-image.
(FR) La présente invention concerne un système qui permet de déterminer l’authenticité d’un objet dans lequel une source de lumière dirige la lumière collimatée ou télécentrique vers une région d’authentification située sur l’objet, laquelle lumière vient heurter la région d’authentification à un angle prédéterminé par rapport à la perpendiculaire d’un plan défini par l’objet, une partie de la lumière est réfléchie par la région d’authentification et une autre partie de la lumière est diffusée par la région d’authentification, un imageur, focalisé sur la région d’authentification, acquiert une image focalisée de la lumière diffusée, l’image comprenant des caractéristiques d’image liées au phénomène de diffusion des caractéristiques de surface de la région d’authentification, le processeur détermine une correspondance entre une partie de l’image acquise et une partie correspondante d’une image stockée correspondant à la région d’authentification, le processeur identifie l’objet comme étant authentique lorsque l’image acquise correspond à l’image stockée, le processeur identifie l’objet comme étant non authentique lorsque l’image acquise ne correspond pas à l’image stockée.
