Abstract:
(EN) Disclosed herein are laser activatable compositions. One composition may comprise: about 35% to about 75% by weight of at least one polyamide resin, preferably a 9,T resin; about 0.1% to about 20% by weight of a laser direct structuring additive; the laser activatable additive being operative to plate the composition upon being activated by a laser; about 0.5% to 20% by weight of a phosphorus-containing additive, preferably an organo phosphinate salt; and about 10% to 50% by weight of a reinforcing fiber, preferably a glass fiber having a substantially circular cross-section, the substantially circular cross-section having a diameter of 10 microns or less; where all weight percents are based on the total weight of the composition. Further embodiments provide compositions further comprising one or more organic, metallic, or mineral fillers, pigments, or combinations thereof. Also disclosed are methods of preparing these compositions and articles produced therefrom.

Une composition peut comprendre : d'environ 35 % à environ 75 % en poids d'au moins une résine de polyamide, de préférence une résine 9,T ; d'environ 0,1 % à environ 20 % en poids d'un additif de structuration directe par laser ; l'additif activable par laser permettant le plaquage de la composition lorsqu'il est activé par laser ; d'environ 0,5 % à 20 % en poids d'un additif contenant du phosphore, de préférence un sel d'organophosphinate ; et d'environ 10 % à 50 % en poids d'une fibre de renforcement, de préférence une fibre de verre présentant une section transversale sensiblement circulaire, la section transversale sensiblement circulaire ayant un diamètre inférieur ou égal à 10 microns ; tous les pourcentages en poids étant rapportés au poids total de la composition. D'autres modes de réalisation concernent des compositions comprenant en outre une ou plusieurs charges organiques, métalliques ou minérales, des pigments, ou des combinaisons associées. L'invention concerne également des procédés de préparation desdites compositions et des articles produits à partir de ceux-ci.
