Title: WAVEGUIDE POLARIZATION MULTIPLEXING FRONT END ASSEMBLY
Abstract:
Disclosed is a waveguide polarization multiplexing front end assembly for connecting an antenna with a transceiver, characterized in that: the assembly comprises an antenna waveguide connected to an antenna and a transceiver waveguide connected to a transceiver; the antenna waveguide is a circular waveguide, wherein a slit for separating electromagnetic waves in the perpendicular polarization direction is provided on the wall of the circular waveguide; the antenna waveguide and the transceiver waveguide are connected to each other to transmit electromagnetic waves in a horizontal polarization direction; and the slit is connected to the transceiver waveguide via a butterfly-shaped structure for polarization direction conversion. In the present invention, by means of an assembly connected between the antenna and the transceiver, only one set of transceiver devices is needed to realize polarization multiplexing. Reducing to one set of transceiver devices greatly reduces the system cost and can also improve the reliability of the device due to device reduction. The assembly is a passive device, fully assembled by metal machining, thereby having a high reliability, low cost and good consistency, and can be mass produced.
